by design episode #27: Heather Holleman

December 5, 2016

In this week’s episode we chat with the amazing Heather Holleman. This woman is brilliant, beautiful and brave — and we know you’ll be SO DANG BLESSED by her! She’s a wife, a mom to two girls, an accomplished professor, has a PhD in English literature, AND has penned some pretty incredible books. She has this way of painting pictures with words that speak to the soul. Seriously. She’s a gift.

Not to mention she’s written one of our favorite books Seated With Christ: Living Freely in a Culture of Comparison. We chat with Heather about the power of God’s word, and she shares the specific verse and story behind the struggle that brought her to write these life changing books. We also get the scoop about her newest book Guarded By Christ: Knowing the God Who Rescues and Keeps Us. Heather’s honesty and transparency about her battle with depression and comparison are truly inspiring and something you won’t easily forget.

GIVEAWAY // She’s also been so gracious and is gifting TWO of our listeners an audio book of Seated With Christ … read by Heather herself! Yay!

How to Write with Flair (Heather’s verb obsession book!)

Here’s the original artwork pieces Heather talked about. Aren’t they SO cool?!

“The Writing Is On the Wall”  by artist Ted Cantrell

In case you aren’t schooled in terms like Blue Italian Spode… here’s a pic of the china Heather loves (and Lyn too)!

And yet another reason why we love this woman so much… She speaks our decor language of pine cones and random tree clippings.
